Last week, the amazing students enrolled in the Mr. Martin’s outdoor education program at Manitouwadge High School along with the team from Great Lakes Cultural Camps headed out into the boreal forest for a Winter Camping Adventure. It was filled with hard work and winter at its finest. It was awesome to be there.
Prior to the trip Mr. Martin provided informative sessions to the students in: planning, preparation, training in the basics of snow camping and quinzhee building.
While on the land, the students were immersed in real life backcountry scenarios challenging and testing their minds and bodies.
