The Office 95 programs can be run directly from the CD or a network to save space. The professional edition also comes with Microsoft Access, which is a database program that has a number of important capabilities you can't really get in Excel spreadsheets. Using Access, it's even possible to connect to remote SQL databases via ODBC.
