St Thomas English School, Khizersarai , Gaya, Bihar celebrated 78th Independence Day, which is themed as 78th Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav with great enthusiasm on 15th August 2024. The school campus was beautifully decorated with flags and flowers to commemorate the day. All the students, teachers, non-teaching staff gathered in the school premises at 9.30 AM. The programme started at 9:40 AM followed by a prayer. After the flag hoisting we sang flag song and National Anthem together. Teachers and students delivered inspiring speeches in Hindi and English.
A cultural programme was also held in the school where students of different classes participated. Some students performed patriotic song, some performed a patriotic dance. As a part of the occasion House Board Decoration competitions were organised for the students on 14th August 2024.
There were some parents also witnessed the entire programme along with their children. Cocurricular Activities and academic excellence medals, certificates and trophies were distributed at the end of the programme.
