CPM leader G. Sudhakaran has said that he will contest the Assembly elections if the party asks him to. He added that the party has not yet decided who all will be fielded as candidates, and that he would contest from Ambalappuzha if directed by the party. Speaking to News18, Sudhakaran said that voters in Ambalappuzha do not vote based on caste or religion, but support secularism.
