Titian Naluri is a continuation of our previous production, “Tenunan Wirasa”, which sought to explore and reconstruct the ‘new Malay identity’. Here, NUS Ilsa Tari hopes to continue that conversation by bridging differences between past and present identities of the Malay community.
The lineup begins with several Singapore Malay folk dances,
followed by inspired new creations. The show ends with a contemporary Malay dance piece to portray the bridging of the past and present Malay identities.
NUS Ilsa Tari has invited Itra Tari from Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Indra Nila Kirana from Nanyang Polytechnic and also Beztari from Nanyang Technological University to work hand-in-hand with for Titian Naluri.
