Documenting my VANS RV 10 Build - in this video I do an update on my wiring for the Garmin G3X Touch, GMA 245, GTR 20 connections via the CANBUS and associated capabilities. A couple of things I did not mention in the video:
1) Using a CAR battery for the testing, it needs to be a battery that has an amp hour rating (I selected a 18 AH) the typical car batteries are just for starting and cannot handle the gradual current drain which can cause you issues with electronics.
2) the GTR 20 - you cannot adjust the squelch it is either on or off, just in case you were not aware.
3) the Garmin videos that i mentioned do not include connecting the CANBUS drain to the backshell on the nodes. This is required from what I have been able to find. I might post a video if people are interested.
