HIDDEN LAKE LOOKOUT~ UNBEATABLE SCENERY FROM ONE OF WASHINGTON'S BEST FIRE LOOKOUTS - NORTH CASCADES

Описание: Sitting on the border of North Cascades National Park in Washington lies Hidden Lake Lookout. Hidden Lake Lookout Trail is a classic North Cascades hike and the views from the summit are some of the best that Washington has to offer. Enjoy jagged peaks in all directions including snow covered Mount Baker, Mount Shuksan and Glacier Peak in the distance. Hidden Lake Lookout Trail is one of the crown jewels of hiking in Washington State. Hidden lake Lookout sits on South Hidden Peak and one should considered scrambling up to the nearby North Hidden Peak as a great peak bagging combo for the day. There are multiple hiking and backpacking trails continuing on from Hidden Lake which lies beneath the two summits. North Cascades National Park remains sort of a hidden gem due to its location in the northern part of Washington. This remote National Park doesn’t get nearly the number of visitors as Washington’s two other National Parks – Mount Rainier National Park and Olympic National Park. The Hidden Lake Lookout trailhead is also located in a more rugged area of Washington which in return keeps the number of hikers at a minimum. It is first come first serve if one desires to stay the night in the lookout. There are also multiple camping areas available near the summit. The road leading to the Hidden Lake Lookout trailhead can be washed out and rugged. A good high clearance vehicle with decent tires is an excellent idea.
