A small work like a violin to launch a massive peace campaign reflects the idea Reyes has of art, an instrument to be used by humans to convert a negative situation into a positive one.

These machines are musical instruments that the artist realised together with six musicians; they can be programmed and operated by computer, making them capable of giving music concerts when all together, with compositions prepared beforehand. Reyes started it in 2003, after a similar project entitled Image, asking the Mexican government to give him about 6,700 weapons to transform into art.

It seems that Reyes is inviting us to reflect on the fact that we can choose what to carry into our future.
