In a much anticipated 400m race, Evette de Klerk beats Myrtle Bothma during the Germiston Prestige Meeting at the Herman Immelman Stadium. This was after Bothma ran the 400m hurdles earlier in the evening in a world class time of 53.82. These two NKP athletes dominated the women's scene during the late 80's, early 90's. Both were coached by the legendary Bessie Windell at the time. Unfortunately only hand times were taken.

1. Evette de Klerk - 50.5
2. Myrtle Bothma - 50.9
3. Madele Naude - 53.0
4. Zelda Botes - 53.8
