Landslide Halts Kalinga Ghat, Traffic Disrupted for Over 24 Hours

A massive landslide in Kalinga Ghat has blocked the road with huge boulders, uprooted trees, and debris. Vehicular movement between Kandhamal and Ganjam has been completely disrupted for more than 24 hours, causing severe hardship for locals. National Highway Authority officials have reached the spot to assess the situation, while clearing work with machines is underway. Temporary road restoration may take up to a week.
