George is playing a song written back in 1968 for his school band “The All Star Feetwarmers”. The original songs written for the band were all named after streets and places in Sheffield and the chord sequence for this one “The Snig Hill Stroll” was inspired by a famous song… who can identify the origin of the chord sequence?
The All Star Feetwarmers were:
Michael Hinchliffe - piano (now known as George)
Paul Wharton - bass
Deryk Guy - guitar
Philip Barker -trombone
Andrew Hewitt - clarinet
Kelvin Smith - clarinet
Christopher Monks - saxophone
Christopher Joynes - cornet.
Competition Ended - Alan Townsend was the first correct comment across all our social media platforms
Answer - "I can't give you anything but love baby"
Well done to everyone who got it right!!
