Today we are exploring the Breitling Navitimer World. The first thing that stands out about the watch is its size - it's big but it's not Bentley. It uses the large surface area to convey a large amount of information to the wearer. The size is large but quite true to history, measuring 46mm across the round of the case. From lug to lug, the watch measures 53.5mm and 15.5mm thick, making it comparable to a Panerai Luminor.

The watch is fitted with a substantial black alligator strap wth contrasting stitching. The single-fold deployment clasp includes a minder system, leading to a very polished appearance and long-lasting durability.

The dial includes a circular slide-ruled flight calculator on the outboard. Moving inward, there is a second time zone, or world time, that is indicated by the triangular red index. In addition, there is a triple measure chronograph and date function. One is able to effectively use the watch for multiplication and division problems by simply rotating the bezel.

A solid caseback covers a caliber 7754 in chronometer specification, modified to feature a 24-hour hand rather than a day window. The watch has a water resistance of 3atm and is unidirectional winding.
