Meet Hauptwerk Organ: OLORON-SAINTE-MARIE (24/III)

Описание: Welcome to a new video series - "Meet the Hauptwerk organ:" where I improvise my way through different sample sets for Hauptwerk. A sort of Hauptwerk sample set demonstration. Today I tour the stops of the magnificent sample set of the small Aristide Cavaillé-Coll organ of Oloron-Sainte-Marie located in the south of France.
The organ has 24 stops and 3 manuals and is sampled by Piotr Grabowski.

I have written it before. This is on my top 5 of best sample set I have experienced and I am a bit surprised why it isn't hyped more :) Being only a 24 stop organ it has its obvious limitations with no mutations and high pitched ranks but it has the basics of a great French romantic organ: The reeds, the celeste, the oboe and that broad full sound. The organ in reality has 2 manuals with the third being a fixed coupled manual combining the GO with the Recit.
When all stops are pulled it sounds having 80+ stops. So vast and yet so small. I can’t recommend it enough which is why I have featured it many time on my channel!
