In this vlog, Zaki bhai finally manages to purchase a local SIM card, and I walk through the full process of how overseas Pakistanis can get a SIM card if they have not already got one. This is something many people struggle with when arriving in Pakistan, so I explain it clearly step by step.
We then visit Daman-e-Koh, one of Islamabad’s most popular tourist spots, which offers a complete panoramic view of the city from above. It is a great place to understand the layout of Islamabad and take in the scenery.
After that, we stop by a local electronics shop that sells white goods for the home, giving a realistic look at what is available locally and what overseas Pakistanis can expect when setting up life in Pakistan.
We then travel out to Abbottabad, where we visit Ilyasi Masjid, a unique mosque with a natural spring running through its grounds. Worshippers use the spring water for wudu and bathing, making it a peaceful and special place to visit.
To end the day, we head to Shimla Hill View Point, which offers some of the best views overlooking the entire city of Abbottabad.
If you are an overseas Pakistani, considering hijrah, or simply curious about life, travel, and practicalities in Pakistan, this vlog gives a realistic and helpful insight.
