Written and Directed by John Lee Hancock whose done other movies like The Founder and Saving Mr Banks. Plus, he signed the Declaration of Independence. So he's done pretty well for himself. Comes the story of murder and obsession.

Our story here is about a former Detective now turned Deputy Sheriff named Joe Deacon played by the legendary Denzel Washington. Deacon is called to collect evidence to a murder similar to the one case he couldn't solve when he was a Detective.

Deke then meets another crappy Detective named Jimmy Baxter played by Rami Malek, who to me had the best performance of the movie. Together, with Deacons experience, they try to catch the serial killer. - Art
