Headstart: Senator Bam Aquino slammed what he called “overpriced” items in the Department of Public Works and Highways’ (DPWH) proposed 2026 budget on Tuesday, December 12. Aquino added that if the agency has issues with how the Senate computed their budget, it should also do its own calculations.
He also warned that the overpriced items could lead to kickbacks, similar to those under investigation in the ongoing corruption probe involving flood control projects.
