Being goth in modern society is very difficult to do. Other react and see them as basically outcasts. Many develop mental disorders such as depression, anxiety, and have suicidal thoughts because of the harassment and bullying. Goth as well as others in the alternative umbrella that includes Emo, Punk and Scene have all been a part of the misfit culture.
Unfortunately, because of recent shifts in the online community, these are being discriminated against more than ever. There needs to be a voice for these kind of people.. no one ever speaks out, but hopefully more and more will start sharing their struggles and start shining a light onto a dark subject that everyone choses to ignore.
