Our aim is to gather as much money as possible to support the "Education Safe from Disaster" Project from SAVE THE CHILDREN. Our idea starts with a very simple product: toilet paper. For our group, toilet paper has great symbolic meaning: For us it is standard. For many people it is not. They lack acess to modern sanitation systems, and one billion people even lack access to a toilet. This number increases in the event of natural disaster, like the current flooding in South Asia. A clean and safe toilet ensures health, dignity and well-being. Clean and safe toilets help girls in school and increase attendance rates. To raise awareness, we built a product, a handwrapped and painted toilet roll, and a brand: "THE STANDARD ROLL - Help when you are down"! You buy a silly and beautiful item for bathroom decoration and help ensure a standard of sanitation that will keep girls in school. While we will sell our physical product on the streets of Düsseldorf this upcoming Friday, we ask you, to support our efforts by making a direct donation through our website to SAVE THE CHILDREN.
