Описание: Dr Maria O’Hanlon is a sci-comm enthusiast who uses her platforms ‘A Bio Blog’ to share her passion for rare genetic diseases and effective science communication. Alongside this she works as a Research Manager at The Lily Foundation, a mitochondrial disease charity. She previously completed a BSc degree in Biomedical Science at Nottingham Trent University then went on to complete an MRes degree at Newcastle University in Medical and Molecular Biosciences. She then completed a PhD at Teesside University researching the role of mitochondria in Parkinson’s disease, using fruit flies as a model system.
