Have you ever wondered what tunes to learn next, or what some good tunes to learn might be for your local jam? Have you struggled to listen through old recordings that are hard to learn from? Tristan Scroggins and I are super excited to announce the public release of The Old Time 💯 - Vol. 1 which features the first 20 tunes from our mammoth recording session of 100 of the most common jam friendly old time tunes. This release is primarily educational in it's function and purpose, (although these track sound really great we think!) to be paired with video content, written transcriptions and the remaining 80 tracks which are available on our patreon pages linked below. For fiddle centric content head to George's, for Mandolin content head to Tristan's.

Here's a really great D fiddle tune "Dry and Dusty" from the playing of Kentucky Fiddler J.P. Fraley. I recorded this in DDAD tuning, (and actually, and hilariously on 5 string this became DDDAD tuning!) so G down to low D, D as is, A as is and E down to D. A really fun tuning to play in for maximum drones!

This tune is easy to translate to standard tuning though and it's definitely not necessary to play this in the D tuning.
