If you start looking at the prices they want for an icom or Kenwood or a Yaesu or even alinco or a tyt for any tone dual Bander youll see its nutts. You start to see that some of these other ones that only do 25 watts are a pretty good entry level deal.
I'm buying these for myself to put in one of my vehicles to scan the local police frequencies and possibly for emergency comms.
