I’m living in Shenzhen, China. On Saturday, got a call from my boss. Had to go to Hong Kong. On my day off.
What was supposed to be a slow, cozy weekend turned into an unexpected work trip.
After a long day and a train ride back home, I was completely exhausted — but I still wanted to end the night gently.
So I stopped by the supermarket, bought fresh ingredients, and cooked myself a comforting dinner.
Even when work takes your weekend, you can still take back your evening.
