In this session, we’ll dive into one of the most fascinating and controversial questions in modern IP: who owns works created by AI? As generative tools redefine creativity, traditional notions of authorship and originality are being challenged worldwide. The presentation explores how the EU and US are handling AI-generated works, drawing on recent case law, WIPO discussions, and EU policy. It also examines potential ownership models — developer, user, data provider, or none — and reflects on how copyright law might evolve.
