This weird cave, located in the north central Pennsylvania in the United States, is the sight of a very strange phenomenon called the Coudersport Ice Mine.
The cave produces ice in the hot summer and the ice melts in the cold winter! Yes it is true! The phenomenon is known as a cold trap. It is still not
fully understood how it works but a theory is presented on the possible cause of this anomaly. We gave thanks to the tour guide and owner for access to such a wonderful geological anomaly!
