India's External Sector - Foreign Trade, FDI and Remittances

Описание: While in the early part of the last year we saw a continued growth of exports, the latter part we have seen a slowdown in this growth, with the global slowing down. Our merchandise trade deficit in the first eight months of the year is already at USD 198.35 Billion.

How is India coping with this huge deficit. How is the services trade contributing? Further the Remittances are set to touch USD 100 Billion this year and with strong flows of FDI, We continue to be in good shape. These are the highest remittances that any country has ever received in a single year.
