How to Paint Atmosphere and Values! With Jessica Henry Gray

Описание: Hello everyone! We are in the depths of winter here in Ohio. It’s been so cold, I haven’t been able to get out and do some plein air painting, so today I’m bringing you an oil painting demo in the studio.

Learning to work with values and creating atmosphere is one of the most challenging parts of painting. I want to explore working with values to show you some effective means of understanding values how to achieve atmospheric effects. This image I’m working with is from our workshop last year in the Cotswolds, England.

Please forgive my cold- I tried to cut out all the sniffles, but if I missed some, I apologize! I hope you enjoy the video and get some useful tips from it.
