Atharva Chaturvedi, a NEET aspirant from Jabalpur, came into the spotlight after arguing his own admission case before the Madhya Pradesh High Court. Despite scoring 530 marks under the EWS category, he was denied admission to a private medical college due to the improper implementation of the 10% EWS reservation.
Relying on the 103rd Constitutional Amendment, he challenged the issue in court. Though he did not receive immediate relief, the Court directed the State to take steps toward implementing EWS seats in private colleges. Recently, he again appeared before Chief Justice of India Justice Surya Kant, continuing his legal fight for medical admission rights.
