I have been toying with the idea of using a paraffin heater/stove to run a hot tent for some time. As a child my family used paraffin to heat and light one of our homes and in later life paraffin heaters were common place in most of our homes, and we always had one in case there was a power cut.
With this background I felt that I had to be the one to give this idea a go, after all paraffin and myself were no stranger to each other.
This part off the experiment was about getting to know the equipment and learning its short comings. As a heat source it is well up for the job but I still have to work the bugs out on the cooking side.
It was really about having 2 nights away from the house.
