Ancient Bulgarians believed that unfortunate events in nature were the influence of evil spirits. So they made Kukeri to expel evil spirits. The bells of Kukeri rang throughout Bulgaria, and the darkness receded and the light came to the hearts of the people. Like the Bulgarian proverb that there is always a light in the tunnel, we expressed our expect that our beams of light will bring the whole world hope through our dance.
고대 불가리아 사람들은 자연에서 발생하는 불행한 사건들은 악령의 영향이라고 믿었다. 그래서 꾸께리를 만들어 악령을 쫓아내고자 했다. 꾸께리의 종소리는 불가리아 곳곳에 울려퍼졌고, 어두움이 물러가고 사람들의 마음에는 빛이 찾아왔다. '터널 속에 항상 빛이 있다.'는 불가리아 속담처럼 우리가 가진 빛줄기가 전 세계를 희망으로 비추길 바라는 마음을 댄스로 표현했다.
