Coming in at 1.4M Scoville, this past world record holder (2011) has some bit, and only few peppers officially are hotter, including the well know Carolina Reaper.
My only Scorpion pepper plant of the season unfortunately, ive made some good hot sauces with it, so i wish i had more. Between these 20-30 mature red ones that i picked after filming this video and the other 20-30 currently on the plant maturing, there are no more flowers or budding peppers, so that might be it for the season from this one.
Peppers are 1-2" long and about the same wide, with some having a bump or tail, giving it that Scorpion name. They have shallow folds, and are smooth and glossy red, with no bumps like a Ghost Pepper has.
