Introduction to the different DJing formats available for the modern DJ from the more affordable consumer end right through to professional setups: using Vinyl or CD decks, software setup, hardware controller, Ableton Live 9, Novation's Diver, Traktor, iPad apps, and more.
This is the first module taken from a complete online DJ course for beginners and intermediates. The course is designed with a complete beginner in mind and so supports those with little to no knowledge of DJing, as well as those with some experience already. As well as being guided through all the different types of DJing equipment available, the modules also provide more detailed information about each stage of the mixing process, such as how to set up decks and a mixer, how to cue tracks, choosing the right track to play and knowing when to mix it, how to set levels and EQ, as well as more advanced effects processing and mixing techniques.
