Benteng Inong Balee adalah sebuah benteng bersejarah yang terletak di Teluk Krueng Raya, Aceh, dan dibangun oleh Laksamana Malahayati pada tahun 1599. Benteng ini didirikan untuk menampung dan melatih pasukan khusus wanita Kerajaan Aceh yang dikenal sebagai Inong Balee. Pasukan ini awalnya terdiri dari sekitar 1.000 janda pejuang yang suaminya gugur dalam pertempuran melawan Portugis, dan jumlahnya kemudian bertambah menjadi 2.000 orang.
Karena posisinya yang strategis di atas bukit, benteng ini berfungsi sebagai pos pengawasan penting. Pasukan Inong Balee dapat dengan mudah memantau dan menyerang kapal musuh, terutama kapal Portugis dan Belanda, yang memasuki wilayah Kesultanan Aceh.
Saat ini, benteng tersebut hanya berupa reruntuhan. Berdasarkan perkiraan arkeolog, benteng ini dulunya berukuran 60 x 40 meter dengan dinding batu tebal. Di sekitar lokasi benteng ini juga terdapat makam Laksamana Malahayati dan Desa Janda, yang menjadi saksi bisu keberadaan pasukan Inong Balee.

Inong Balee Fortress is a historical fort located in Krueng Raya Bay, Aceh, and was built by Admiral Malahayati in 1599. The fort was established to house and train the special female forces of the Aceh Kingdom, known as the Inong Balee. This force initially consisted of around 1,000 widows whose husbands fell in battle against the Portuguese, and their numbers later grew to 2,000.
Due to its strategic position on a hill, the fort served as an important surveillance post. The Inong Balee troops could easily monitor and attack enemy ships, especially Portuguese and Dutch vessels, entering the territory of the Aceh Sultanate.
Today, the fort exists only as ruins. Based on archaeologists' estimates, the fort was once 60 x 40 meters with thick stone walls. Around the fort's location, you can also find the tomb of Admiral Malahayati and the Widow's Village (Desa Janda), which serve as silent witnesses to the existence of the Inong Balee forces.
