Electro Dervishes are taking us on a ritualistic musical celebration on the last days of the year 🙌We welcome masters of melodies and visionaries, Kara & Hasan Orak Ekinci!

Kara’s soul-stirring vocals, the hauntingly beautiful sounds of the Ney and Synth, Hasan's Bansuri Flute and guitar, together painting intricate melodies with a broad palette of sounds.

Their live performance transcends conventional boundaries, a unique blend of wonderful resonations from history and many cultures, demonstrating their dedication to originality and richness. Creating a musical story with some Anatolian spiritualism, creativity, boundless artistry, and even some metal music 🤘

The performance also pays a tribute to the legendary bards James Douglas Morrison and Yunus Emre. What you’ll experience is not just a performance; it's a story. Every sound, every word is steeped in its memories, secrets, and the spontaneous magic of the moments of recording.

Hasan Orak Ekinci, a maestro of the Bansuri Flute and Electro Guitar, paints his melodies with a broad palette of sounds. His music is an intricate dance of classical, jazz, ethnic, and even metal tunes, each performance an experimental showcase of his artistic versatility. His skill in using a variety of instruments, from stringed to wind, allows him to craft intricate, interactive performances that captivate and engage his audience in a journey through sound.

With his alto saxophone, vocals, Ney, and accompanying computer-based designs, field and instrument recordings, Kara creates a performative ritual space, connecting with the audience beyond the usual concert or recital format. His performances include synthesizers for unique melodies and lyrics, his versatile musical approach embraces diversity and transcends a single genre.

He participated in festivals such as Nefses, Beyond, Dream of Utopia, Urla Jazz, Space Art, Conference of Birds, Eco Yoga, Karma, Full Art, Ethnic Music, and Musrara Art. He has performed in cities like Istanbul, Frankfurt, Hamburg, and Jerusalem, working in biennials, triennials, and cultural centers with his original works. His recent performances, which transform into high-tempo dance music on stage, have garnered attention.

These works, where he also uses his melodist and performance artist skills, are staged in many venues on the Mediterranean coast during the summer months. Known as a song-writer producing in the path of love, Kara is famous for songs like "People are so strange, New World will start with Love, It will pass and with Love."

He collaborates with groups like Abarjazz, Mors, Muzika Retorika, and master musicians such as Akın Eldes, Turgut Alp Bekoğlu, and Ricy Ford and lives in Gökova as a semi-nomad and continues to produce music/art.
