In this song we sing and sign about our helping hands as part of our "Community Helpers" unit. The lyrics help remind us how we can be a safe and helpful in our classroom community, also reinforcing positive behaviors. Hand motions demonstrated were chosen to represent common signs taught/used in our classrooms and not intended as ASL translation. For example, "love" is used for similar words 'caring' and 'kindness.' Signs include: help, share, love, me/my body, safe, happy, (no) hurt
