4K | TRIP REPORT | Brussels Airlines [Economy Class] A320-200 | BCN-BRU-OSL | SN3704 & SN2287

Описание: Brussels Airlines is the flag carrier of Belgium, and it operates around 45 aircraft as of the 2025/2026 IATA winter season. Join me as I fly with them for the first time since 2019, on the route from Barcelona to Brussels and onwards to Oslo.

Overall an okay trip with Brussels Airlines, and I didn't find them much better or much worse compared to my last trip with them. The best part of the trip was getting an A320 painted in the Tintin livery on the second flight - and that's not all; even the interior was decorated with drawings of Tintin and his friends! And if that weren't enough, the first flight too was operated by an aircraft with a special livery, namely the Star Alliance livery. Aside from that, the ticket price was fairly reasonable, I rather enjoyed the wraps and mini sausages from the Buy-on-Board menu, and I liked that fresh food was available at half the price on the second flight. With that said, Brussels Airlines remains, in my opinion, a very average airline that doesn't stand out from other airlines in many ways. Despite being a flag carrier, not even water is served free of charge in short-haul Economy, and neither do I understand why hot food isn't sold on 2h flights. If many other airlines (including several legacy ones) are able to do it without issues, then I don't see why Brussels Airlines isn't, especially considering they indeed used to sell such food on flights of that duration. Additionally, most of the crew wasn't much to write home about, both flights arrived over 30 minutes late, and there were no charging ports, inflight entertainment or anything of the sort. Admittedly it's not the end of the world not to have these on short-haul flights, though it won't improve my so-so impression of Brussels Airlines.
