Dr Kate gets a call from a client who has recently tested positive to COVID 19. She explains that her two cats, Jesse and Beautiful, have developed a nasty cough.

While it is extremely rare, given these are both indoor cats there is a strong possibility that they have indeed caught the virus. Dr Kate needs to get the cats tested as soon as possible, so she and Head Vet Nurse Kate suit up in PPE gear and enter the apartment to take swabs from the back of Jesse and Beautiful’s throats.
Cats don’t react well to having swabs taken scratching, hissing and biting and Dr Kate needs to get clean samples and make sure she doesn’t expose herself to the virus in the process.
