The government is taking steps to address concerns over commercial LPG supply to restaurants amid ongoing disruptions.

Sources say oil marketing companies (OMCs) are in touch with restaurant associations to understand their concerns and ensure sufficient LPG availability for operations. A special committee has been constituted to examine the issue and assess the track record of establishments before taking further decisions.

At the same time, the government has clarified that domestic LPG consumers remain the top priority. Efforts are underway to diversify LPG sourcing, with cargoes expected from alternative suppliers.

Authorities have also invoked the **Essential Commodities Act and issued an LPG control order, which has already helped increase LPG production by nearly 10% in recent days.

Officials say these measures should improve supply stability in the coming weeks, easing concerns for both households and the hospitality sector.
