In this video, we demonstrate the Ohm’s Law physics practical to study the relationship between voltage (V) and current (I) in an electric circuit. The experiment verifies that current flowing through a conductor is directly proportional to the potential difference across it, provided the temperature remains constant.
Aim:
To verify Ohm’s Law by plotting a graph between voltage and current.
Apparatus Used:
A resistor, battery/eliminator, ammeter, voltmeter, rheostat, plug key, and connecting wires.
Procedure:
The circuit is set up as per the circuit diagram. The voltage is varied using a rheostat, and the corresponding current values are noted. Multiple readings are taken to ensure accuracy.
Observation & Result:
A straight-line graph is obtained between voltage and current, confirming Ohm’s Law. The slope of the graph gives the resistance of the conductor.
Conclusion:
Ohm’s Law is verified, and the resistance of the given conductor is calculated successfully.
