Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said the draft Digital Taxi Policy will benefit both taxi operators and tourists. He stated that stakeholders are showing a positive response and once the committee is formed, the process will move forward smoothly. Taxi operators are expected to hold an internal meeting on Monday to discuss the policy.
Meanwhile, taxi associations have demanded that the government scrap the GoaMiles app before further discussions take place. Association members said representatives from various taxi groups will also be consulted, and their suggestions and views will be submitted to the soon-to-be constituted committee.
