Slick Rock recently had a new rerouted section opened up at the beginning of August. The new section of the trail has one fairly difficult, yet fun, hill before it connected back to the old route.
Slick Rock Road is located in the beautiful area below Lake Alpine. Take HWY 4 to Lake Alpine enter the lower campground at W. Lake Alpine. Slick Rock Trail is a moderately trafficked trail located near Bear Valley, California that features a lake and is rated as difficult. The trail offers a number of activity options and is best used from May until November.
The trail has been adopted by the Joaquin Jeepers
