In this video we explain fire protection system and design calculation of fire pump room according to drawing of fire protection.Fire protection in buildings we use different components that protect against fire.Fire pump room drawing is very help full to understand to working principle fire pump. Jockey pump, Main electric pump and diesel pump are play main role in this pump room fire fighting system.Water filled in water tank that contained water level indictor and others component like drain valve ,over flow line and anti vertex plate. Anti vertox plate convert vortex flow of water to laminar flow.Than water goes to suction line of fire pump pass through strainer of fire pump and flexible connector.In fire pump room pressure relief valve relief extra pressure of water into water tank and alarm check valve assembly tells us where is fire accure.In high rise building we use landing valve sprinklers and fire hose reel to extinguish the fire
