The Taoiseach has defended his government's dramatic U-turn on SNA cuts, saying the potential impact on nearly 200 schools was not made clear to Cabinet.
The rollback means the review will now not go ahead. There will be no reductions in Special Needs Assistants, and any promises of additional SNAs will be honoured — to the tune of €19 million.
