The idea for this video had been kicking in my brain for a while. I think it started when I watched AfroPoli’s Perle Nere 4 :    • Perle Nere - Operatic disasters - Part 4  . It included some clips of older opera divas sounding absolutely terrible. Now, AfroPoli’s personal opinion is that if you can no longer sing well, don’t sing at all. And I understand that view. But it is my opinion that we should still support mostly retired opera singers when they do retirement-y concerts, as a way to honor their careers. That, and some of the clips were so bad, that it’s a little funny. So I borrowed a few of the same clips and added a whole lot more to make this. I also managed to put this together in half a day, so I’m pretty proud about that. The thumbnail took half a day on its own. Also, really do watch "March With Me" sung by Montserrat Caballe.
