Merlin - It's lonely..

I got hugely inspired to make this Merlin edit from the sheer awesomeness of the music. This is a way to express how even the kindest and sweetest souls can be broken into something a lot darker from what they started off.. like Merlin's character is the perfect example.

From the start of his journey, he knew he was special and yet he had to hide it throughout his whole life, this also meant that he never fit in anywhere, he was always in hiding and under immense pressure of "fulfilling his destiny.." as this was the most important thing.. and his purpose. Everybody loved telling him what to do "Do not trust the druid boy..", "You must kill her.." and "You've been pretending for so long now, that you've actually forgotten who you are.." are just some of the examples that cost Merlin a lot of friends along the way and lead not only to their demise but also to him doubting himself and his better judgement.

In the end, my main idea was to showcase how throughout the series this sweet character grew up and faced a lot of hardships that resulted in his dramatic personality change, as well as the influence of the other characters in his decision-making. I really love this show for the reason that there is not a clear distinction between heroes and villains and everything is mashed together in a grey area, it perfectly showcases the reasons and choices towards the character's journey. I genuinely hope that you like this, as it was an emotional roller coaster for me to create and I truly enjoyed it! ❤
