What is a Powered Hinge Rail?
If you have a doorway or open hallway right at the bottom of the stairs where the rail would impede access, a powered hinge rail is used. To avoid a tripping hazard, the bottom section of the rail folds up when not in use.
A charge and park point will be positioned a few steps up from the bottom of the rail so you can fold up the hinge and still charge your lift.
