Our holiday journey begins in the heart of Downtown Vancouver. We are starting the morning right with a warm cup of coffee to shake off the winter chill. ☕ Downtown has a unique, peaceful energy on Christmas morning, and we’re taking you along as we navigate the quiet streets, admire the holiday window displays, and share some Christmas cheer with all of you in the live chat. Whether you're celebrating solo or with family, we’re so glad you’ve decided to spend your morning with us!

Once we’ve got our caffeine fix, it’s time to hop on the TransLink Canada Line! 🚈 We’re heading south from Waterfront/City Centre station all the way to Richmond, British Columbia. Riding the SkyTrain on Christmas is a tradition in itself—it's the best way to see the city transit from the North Shore mountains down to the Fraser River. We’ll be chatting about our favorite holiday memories, our goals for the new year, and giving you a front-row seat to the snowy (or rainy!) views of the Lower Mainland.

The main event today is a visit to the legendary Golden Village in Richmond! 🧧 For those who don't know, Richmond’s Golden Village is one of the best places in North America for authentic Asian cuisine and snacks. Since many traditional spots are open on Christmas Day, it is the ultimate destination for a "Savoury Sunday" style holiday feast. We’ll be hunting for the best street-style snacks, bubble tea, and maybe even some dim sum or spicy noodles to celebrate the season. 🥟🍢

Asif and I love exploring the hidden gems of BC, and there’s no better time to find them than today. From the bustling food courts of Aberdeen Centre to the hidden stalls along Number 3 Road, we are on a mission to find the most delicious Christmas treats Richmond has to offer. We’ll be reviewing everything we eat in real-time, so bring your appetite and your questions! 🥢🔥
