In a region as diverse as the Indo-Pacific, the speed at which AI can be developed and deployed varies extremely, and catch-all solutions to rulemaking and deployment pose a significant challenge. Also, as AI transcends physical boundaries and can result in conflicts arising in both digital and physical arenas, policymakers in the region must look at how AI can serve as an asset in terms of both national and economic security.
