Animalpark Thum, in German Tiergarten Thum, in Saxony or rather the Ore Mountains near the Czech–German border, is absolutely tiny. Never the less a lot has been invested here - and thats why this zoo is a wonderful example of what you can get out of a small park if you want to! So even though there are a lot bigger options, Tiergarten Thum might be worth a visit from near towns like Chemnitz, Zwickau or maybe even Leipzig and Dresden in Germany, as well as Ústí nad Labem or Chomutov in the Czech Republic!
