Here are some of my favorite, can’t-miss things to do when visiting this super cute & ultra fun place:

⛰️ For adventure:
•Visit historic Fort Stanton and even take a spooky nighttime flashlight tour (flashlight tour is seasonal)!
•Ride screaming eagle mountain coaster @ruidosos_winter_park
•ATV with Backcountry Attitudes and go to the top of Monjeau Lookout
•Hike to the top of Moon Mountain for panoramic views and spot wild horses
•Rent kayaks and paddle on Grindstone Lake

🍷 For relaxation…
•Wineries and wine tastings, like Noisy Water Winery and Enchanted Vine Barn
• The Hurd Art Gallery and Sentinel Ranch tasting room! The property is magical!
•Soak in the hot tub at the perfect vacation rental via Pinnacle Luxury Rentals

📖 For history:
•Drive the Billy the Kid scenic byway and tour the super historic town of Lincoln
•Swing by the resting place of the real Smokey Bear (who hailed from these mountains) at Smokey Bear Historical Park!

💃🏼 For dining and entertainment:
•10/10 recommend Win Place Show Bar with live music, whiskey tastings, axe throwing + more!
• Downshift Brewing Co where we were treated to a live performance of the Rocky horror picture show by Oso Productions Ruidoso (also, great beer and menu)!
•Go Shopping along Midtown’s Sudderth drive!
•Eat at so many delicious restaurants and cafes - Tina’s Cafe, Casitas Cafe, Grill Caliente; Wendell’s Steak & Seafood …just to name a few!
