A 4K road drive tour of Akumadan township on the N10 Techiman - Kumasi Highway from Afrancho in the Offinso North District in the Ashanti Region of Ghana.

Akomadan is known for its agricultural activities, particularly tomato farming. The area is part of the Offinso State, which was established in the mid-17th century.Asantehene (Opemsuo) Nana Osei Tutu I gave the land stretching from River Dosuo to Akomadan-Afrantwo.

History has it that,a hunter named Nana Ankoma from Techiman-Bamiri hunted at is area and built his hut called ''nnan'. So "nnan-so, is a place in the forest with a hut or huts for hunters to sleep in and also smoked the hunted animals."

Thus 'Ankoma nnan' (Ankoma's nnan) became Akomadan."over the years.

One can pass through Akomadan to Kumasi, Techiman and Bechem.
Akomadan has a Health centre,police station, Rural Bank, GCB, Post office, Senior High and basic schools,many church denomination and a market.

Offinso North is a district located in the Ashanti Region of Ghana, specifically in the northwestern part of the region. It was created in 2008 by separating the northern part of the former Offinso District. The district capital is Akomadan.
